The brief was for a spacious modern four bedroom home with additional facilities for extended family to stay. The main open space living area is to be integrated to the outdoor dining and swimming pool. More private areas to include a library and home office.

The existing block has both front and rear access, with a challenging north - west orientation along the length of the block. High level windows capture views to adjacent gum trees.

The building includes the following sustainable design elements:

• Operable blinds and canopies for shading to suit the orientation and limit summer solar gain
